The Helen Garden

Opened as a public park in 1935 its broad lawns slope gently seawards giving magnificent views towards Eastbourne pier.

There is a children’s playground, putting green and Pétanque court.

It is also the home of St John’s Bowling Club.

There are plenty of places to picnic and a kiosk (open from Easter to Autumn) serves light refreshments. They also accept the Meads Village Affinity Card and will charge Card holders just £1 per person to use the putting green or petanque court instead of £2.75 or £1.85 respectively.
